Trail Feasibility Study
In 2021/2022, consultants Simone Collins conducted a Feasibility Study of the Conodoguinet Greenway segment from the western border of Hampden Township to the Creek’s confluence with the Susquehanna River. Further studies including Silver Spring township and adjacent communities are planned for the future.
The study was financed by a DCNR grant, matched by a Cumberland County Land Partnerships grant, contributions from all 3 municipalities and over $8,000 raised through small private donations.
The project committee included representatives of the three host communities – Hampden, Camp Hill and East Pennsboro, together with members of Friends of the Conodoguinet Greenway (FoCG), Cumberland Conservation Collaborative (CCC), Conodoguinet Creek Watershed Association (CCWA), Friends of Recreation at East Pennsboro Parks (FOR EP Parks) and the Cumberland County Planning Department.
The Feasibility Study included 4 well attended public meetings, a public opinion survey and an interactive map tool to gather community input. Follow the links to view the Final Report and an Executive Summary of this Feasibility Study
